RVO is the only mountain bike race to cross the Equator, from north to south along the Great Rift Valley, passing through wildlife conservancies, National Parks and Forests. Cycling on the RVO is like cycling through pages of the National Geographic magazine, each stage crosses incredible landscape that is littered with wildlife; through verdant farmlands, vast indigenous forests, blistering volcanic deserts, arid scrub land, montane forests and rolling savannah.
