That special occasion
Where possible. meals should be ordered well in advance. KV is definitely not a “fast-food joint”. The food menus are too extensive for that to be the case.
Visitors are encouraged to relax and order drinks while waiting for their meals to be served.

When large groups of guests are present it is likely there will be a “buffet-style” (self-service) dinner available.
Usually the food options are many and can satisfy most tastes. The buffet can often be a faster option than the à la carte order.

Relax with drinks before the evening meal
The highland chill of evening would persuade guests not to linger over their dinner, and lessen their enjoyment of the delicious food, were it not for the log fire in the large fireplace. The fire is lit every night without exception.
