Barbeque

Kerio View: Barbeque
Book your venue in advance
A barbecue of mixed meats is a popular get-together option for small groups. The usual venue is one of KV’s outdoor bandas — particularly the one with its own fireplace (called “Bankers”).

Nyama choma
This means roast meat in kiswahili.
Beef, lamb and chicken are usually served; pork only on specific request. But we especialy recommend the meat of the goats from the Kerio Valley.

As much Meat
as you can Eat
This is a very popular barbecue option. But, unless you are a true carnivore, we suggest you also enjoy the chapattis, potatoes and vegetables that are also served.

Personal service
A cook and service staff are assigned to the group for the duration of their party.
They will prepare and serve to your requirements.

Drinks
A chosen selection of drinks will be close at hand in the banda.
Special drinks will be brought on order from the main bar by your waiter.

As the sun sets and the view of the Valley dims, the mouth-watering aroma of roasting meat will begin to pervade the evening air. This is the time, before the meal, to enjoy your special “Sundowner” drink.

The night is young
After the MEAT …… its time for the BEAT !
Often this is the case. After a good meal with friends, and after a few speeches, what comes more naturally than to take to the dance floor.
Remember to bring your music on a CD or flash disk..
