Great Rift Safaris
This is something all potential clients should understand.
But we will always assist our customers in hiring vehicles and equipment — and sometimes personnel — to facilitate their plans.
We will also give information and advice based on our many years of travelling in the region.
4WD is absolutely essential with a powerful low gear. The ability to lock differentials is also advantageous in many circumstances (such as muddy and shaley terrain).
We recommend a convoy of 2 or more vehicles. for the real adventures.
KV can advise on routes and stopping places.
Have enough load space — but don’t overload. You don’t need to carry the kitchen table ! !
Basic camping equipment should be included, whether you plan to use it or not.
You will do so with the proper planning and, — very importantly, the right travelling companions.

Up to 4 trail bikes (175 cc) can be supplied by KV and a 4wD support vehicle and driver.
The route(s) and timeframe will be agreed by KV and clients well before the start of the safari.
Logistics and supplies will be organised by KV.
The importance of the support vehicle is higher in isolated and inhospitable terrain.
The vehicle can carry 2 bikes when necessary.
