Getting here is half an hour of very good road.
Eldoret is the nearest city and airport. From there it is a straightforward drive up onto the escarpment, and the last few minutes are the best part.

Eldoret
Eldoret International (EDL) has daily flights from Nairobi. Roughly 45 minutes by road from the airport to the lodge. We can arrange a transfer.
From Nairobi
About 6 to 7 hours via Nakuru and Eldoret. Tarmac the whole way, then a short signposted murram track at the end.
From Eldoret
35 to 45 minutes, climbing steadily. The turning for the lodge is close to Iten town, on the escarpment road.

There is no bad month, only different ones.
At this altitude the days are mild and the nights genuinely cool - bring a layer regardless of the season. Paragliding can be done throughout the year subject to prevailing winds and weather, and the most suitable period is from late November to late February.
January to April is the busiest stretch at the lodge, so send your enquiry early for those months.

The practical bits.
Iten sits at 2,350 m, and most people notice it only on the first climb of stairs. Runners should plan an easy few days before doing anything ambitious. Drink more water than feels necessary.
Mains power with backup, UK-style three-pin sockets at 240V. WIFI covers the rooms and the public areas - good enough for calls, not for uploading a feature film.
M-Pesa, card or cash in Kenyan shillings. There is an ATM in Iten town, but bring some cash for market days and guides.
A warm layer for evenings, sun protection for the middle of the day, and shoes you do not mind turning red. Everything else is available in Iten or Eldoret.
Very. The family cottages sleep five, the kitchen is flexible, and there is plenty of space to run around. The escarpment edge is fenced but worth a word of warning to small explorers.
