The Ndakaini Half Marathon started in 2004 under the auspices of the Ndakaini Dam Environment Conservation Association (NDEKA), when UAP Old Mutual partnered with NDEKA to plant trees around the Dam and sponsor the first Ndakaini Half Marathon. The scenic Ndakaini Dam is located at the foothills of the picturesque Aberdares, some 70 km from Nairobi, and is located in Gatanga Murang’a County. The Ndakaini Half Marathon is all inclusive and brings together persons of all ages and walks of life. There is something for everyone, young and old, male and female, individuals and corporates!
